Blogging Slacker

My last post was May 19, May 19! And a sorely lacking post at that! Here are some updates:
  • Nick is working in Toledo (by Newport Oregon) and will start Saturdays this week-
  • In July, Nick will work 40 days straight!
  • The cabinets got delivered today and the install will happen Wed and Thurs!
  • I have been working on landscaping and limbing the trees that have been over-growing for the past, oh 10 years. There are these pine trees with needles that have spineties, yes, spineties, that eat you up and poke holes in you, and they hurt, and scab over, and make you look like you got in a fight! Ouch.
  • I got a new Klean Kanteen stainless steel water bottle that is pink and I love it!
  • Travel season is coming. For work I will be going to Seattle, Chicago and El Paso, Tx. For pleasure, Nick and I will be going to Disney World!
  • I need to get travel to visit Amanda figured out soon!
  • Work is work, still plugging away.
  • Been running and working out more, makes life more fun and interesting!
  • Gotta run, must work!

Hawaii

I know that there have been people waiting for photo's from Hawaii and some stories. Well, the photo's are on Nick's computer. I tried to up-load them the other day, but the internet connection at our house is slow and it didn't upload. I will add a post with all of the pictures and lots of detail in the next few days. In the mean time-Nick is in Toledo Oregon doing a job, and I am back in the office.

Some Demolition Pictures

Family room, looking out towards the pasture, the pile is the hardwood floors that will be installed beginning on the 21st of April
The Hallway
The kitchen, the island still needs to go, we are holding out until we have to since it has the sink.
The living room and dining room, complete with kitchen appliances! Just where you would expect to see the fridge and the stove!

It's almost here...

What is almost here, you might ask? Well, thank you so very much for caring enough to ask me, how thoughtful! Well, since you asked, the floor change is almost here! Tonight will be my last night walking around on the half torn apart floors at our house! Starting tomorrow and going into the weekend, all of the floors will be torn up, followed by a mad dash to paint and then beginning on the 21st, the new floors will be installed. I swear, pictures will be posted soon, they really will! I will start with the beginning and work through the progression. I have half debated waiting until everything is done and then posting the prograssion photo's all at once, maybe I will stick to that...but then again, maybe not. =) oh devious me!

Oh yes, and Brandon is coming to live with me because he has a job up here (in case you don't know Brandon, he is my bro in law, proud dad of Tanner and little Bo, er, Jordan). He gets to come move into the disaster that is the house, no kitchen and all. No couches, no stove, no floors, no tv, no cable, *gasp* no tv!!! Yes, that is right, no tv. On 2 acres with a torn apart house, you would be amazed by how much tv becomes a non-necessity. Pretty soon, Brandon will be so used to it that he will go home and say "babe, lets get rid of the tv" to which Ali will *gasp* for air and faint! Tee hee, sorry Brandon, it is all in good fun! It will be nice to have another person around! Plus, paining is fun...er...yea, it's fun! So is mowing! I will hook up a cup-holder, all you have to do is drive and sip, repeat!

Jordan Bo-McNair Rich

Here he is, my new nephew. Born at 4:20am on 4/1/2008 weighing in at 8lbs, 8oz and 21in long.

My cute nephew with my sister--oh yes, and I can't handle it!

My nephew Tanner is so adoreable!
Wow! Look at that belly!

Every time I look at the preceding post, I fall into fits of giggles! There is something unnatural about being able to "try on" hair! Nick was laughing because they all look like wigs. The fan favorite has been the long and curley. The second favorite is the one right above it. The shorter one is the one that I think my hair would look most like. I totally wish that I could get my hair to do the one below though. Maybe I can get a "soft perm" --funny.

Hair Cut

Hey guys. I was thinking about cutting my hair...wait, I am getting it cut on Saturday and I want some advice. Below you will find some possible examples...or I can just trim what I have right now :-) You can click to make them bigger.

I wish I could do the curly one :-( I like the bottom two the best...I think.
