Pregnancy Blues

It's my blog and I'll cry if I want to...

These past few days have been...uncomfortable. I don't know what changed or why, but I feel as though I was hit by a bus. I big (scarmy to use a word from my little sister) bus.

My back aches. Like, really aches. I wake up at night. A lot. I waddle. I run out of breath after a short walk. My feet swell after a short walk. I feel heavy. My bellybutton is doing a very strange part in part out thing and I worry that it is herniated. Not cute. I itch. I'm hot. I'm overly tired. And it is all making me grouchy  - and I don't like to be a grouch.

I have heard women say that you reach a point where you are just DONE, but I wan't expecting to reach this point at 34 weeks. I thought it would be more like 38 or 39 weeks! I mean, I still have a long way to go - unless I can convince my doctor to let me go early (which would be glorious!!)

I cannot wait to be back to being "me" - I can't wait to walk without a waddle. To go for a jog. To roll over without hurting (maybe even on my stomach!) I definitely miss "me" - a bunch.

Don't get me wrong. I am blessed to be pregnant. Incredibly lucky. I am thrilled to get to go through this (kind of) and thrilled at the end it will take me to. But I do want to record (and this is kind of my online diary) somewhere that things were not all unicorns and glitter throughout this pregnancy thing. So there it is. These last few days have been rough. And poor Nick would agree, they have been rough on him too. He told me he is tired of being pregnant as well - haha.

sorry you are so uncomfortable!! It's weird having your body not be your own anymore.. I already feel a bit like that and I'm just starting out! You've made it thru 34 weeks though... so just 4 (maybe less!) to go! You can doooo it! :-)

Just remember that horrible time when you were struggling to get pregnant and how you would have done ANYTHING to be pregnant...this is the anything! Just 6 more weeks, push through the pain and know that in the end it's all worth it and that you would and will do it all over again in a heartbeat!
